What you can do to make our visit go smoothly
When we come to your house, we want the visit to go well with as little trauma and stress to both you and your pet as possible. Regardless if you have an indoor only cat or an outdoor only dog, or a combination of the two, there are some things you can do before the visit to help insure a smoother exam. Please see the notes below.

The Cat
Please have your kitty confined to small room where we can get to it. Many cats are frightened of visitors and will run and hide upon our arrival. A clean bathroom or bedroom (without a bed to hide under) works well for this purpose.

The Dog
Most dogs enjoy meeting new people but some are shy and may require introductions. Please have your dog on a leash for the visit. Even friendly dogs are easier to control and keep close at hand with a leash or a collar.
Try to choose a time and day for the visit when there will be as few distractions and as little excitement as possible. Exams go much more smoothly in a calm, quiet environment.
Ideally, plan the visit so that your pet can have at least 24-48 hours of quiet time afterwards wherein he doesn't have to perform in any way. This will allow it to receive the full benefit of any treatment it has received.
